Terms of Service

Welcome to Absence Tracker. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Absence Tracker mobile application (the "Service", "Application") operated by Ali Osman ŞAHİN ("us", "we", "our", or "Developer").

By accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access or use the Application.

>1. Description of the Service

Absence Tracker is a mobile application designed for attendance management, course tracking, and personal organization. The Application is provided as a "Free" service. It operates entirely offline on the user's local device.

>2. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

    Ownership: The Application, including its original content, features, source code, UI/UX design, and functionality, is and will remain the exclusive property of Ali Osman ŞAHİN. It is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    License: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application strictly for personal, non-commercial purposes on your mobile devices.

    Restrictions: You agree not to:

      Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application.
    • ■
      Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based upon the Application.
    • ■
      Use the Application for any unlawful purposes or in a way that disrupts its operation.

>3. Local Data Storage and User Responsibility

    Data Responsibility: Absence Tracker stores your academic and attendance records (courses, statistics, logs) strictly on your device's local storage using local databases (Drift DB) and preferences (SharedPreferences).

    Data Loss: Because we do not upload, sync, or backup your personal application data to any external server or cloud service, you are solely responsible for managing and protecting your data.

The Developer shall not be held liable for any data loss resulting from device malfunction, operating system updates, clearing the application cache/data, uninstalling the Application, or losing your mobile device.

>4. Third-Party Services and External Links

The Application operates without third-party data-tracking integrations or advertising networks. The Application may contain links to the Developer's personal web channels, developer profiles, or external websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any external third-party services or websites you choose to visit.

>5. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

The Application is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, the Developer expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Application will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be entirely error-free.

>6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Developer (Ali Osman ŞAHİN) be liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, academic penalties, school failure, or other information, for business interruption, or personal injury) arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the Application.

>7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time, especially when introducing new models or functionalities in future releases. If a revision is material, we will provide notice within the Application. By continuing to access or use our Application after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

>8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Türkiye.
